We are continuously working to make our public spaces greener, tidier and more pleasant to live in.
As part of these efforts, on Monday, 9 November 2026, we will carry out a one-day hydroseeding project on the section of Baross street between numbers 120 and 128, creating new grass-covered areas to make the surroundings greener and more welcoming.
During the works, parking restrictions will be in place in the immediate vicinity of the area on 9 November. We kindly ask motorists to remove their vehicles from the affected parking spaces before the work begins and to follow the temporary signage placed on site. From Tuesday, 10 November, the parking spaces will be available for use again and no further restrictions are expected.
Modern Technology for Faster Greening
The project will use hydroseeding technology, a modern and efficient method of establishing grassed areas. The process involves mixing grass seed, nutrients, soil-conditioning materials and moisture-retaining mulch with water, then applying the mixture evenly to the surface using specialised equipment.
One of the main advantages of this technology is that the seed is distributed more evenly, while the mulch layer helps retain moisture and protects the seeds from weather conditions. As a result, grass establishment can be faster and more effective than with traditional seeding methods.
Expanding green spaces is important not only from an aesthetic perspective. Vegetation helps cool urban environments, improves the local microclimate, captures dust and creates more pleasant public spaces for residents and visitors alike.
We kindly thank everyone affected for their patience and cooperation during the works.
