The Józsefvárosi Gazdálkodási Központ is committed to keeping pedestrians safe across the district. Throughout August, we will carry out sidewalk repairs and renovations in several locations to fix surface defects.
Below is the schedule of planned repairs by street:
Phase 1: August 3 – August 7
- Bókay János utca 49–55.: Repairing damaged asphalt next to the lamppost.
- Víg utca 43.: Laying fresh asphalt on a 1 m² section.
- In front of the hospital on Dologház utca: Repairing 8 m² of sidewalk asphalt, including full base repairs underneath.
- Koszorú utca 23.: Fixing the base and repaving a 6 m² sunken sidewalk area.
- Dankó utca 7.: Opening up and filling a cavity beneath the sidewalk.
- Illés utca 1.: Repairing a 2 m² section of sunken sidewalk.
- Bérkocsis utca 25.: Repairing a 2 m² sunken section of the sidewalk.
- Bérkocsis utca 21.: Fixing expansion joints to make the sidewalk smooth and durable.
Phase 2: August 3 – August 14
- Füvészkert utca 6.: Sidewalk and pavement repairs.
- Német utca 17-19.: Opening up, filling, compacting, and releveling a sunken sidewalk section and the hollow space underneath.
- Leonardo da Vinci köz 1.: Rebuilding a sidewalk section lifted and made unsafe by tree roots.
- Őr utca 12.: Sidewalk and pavement repairs.
- Auróra utca 12.: Sidewalk and pavement repairs.
Phase 3: August 3 – August 19
- József utca 38.: Filling a large cavity under the sidewalk and restoring the surface.
- József utca 57–59.: Reinforcing the ground foundation and releveling a sunken and collapsed sidewalk section.
- Mindszenty József tér: Fixing pavement lifted by tree roots.
Phase 4: Late August and full-month projects
- Múzeum utca 13. (August 3 – August 28): Planned sidewalk and pavement repairs.
- Reviczky utca 6. (August 24 – August 28): Removing, leveling the base, and relaying sunken paving stones along a 5-meter stretch.
- Krúdy utca 24. (August 24 – August 28): Planned sidewalk and pavement repairs.
- Losonci tér 8.(August 3 – August 28): Repairing damaged asphalt pavement.
Please expect temporary narrow paths, detours, and work zones along the affected sidewalks. We ask everyone to take extra care when walking through these areas.
