At the end of July, parking regulations will temporarily change on the 8th District (odd-numbered) side of Verseny utca.
Coworkers of the Józsefvárosi Gazdálkodási Központ will paint new road markings and install new traffic signs. For the duration of these works, the affected street sections must be cleared completely. Therefore, we kindly ask drivers parked in these areas to relocate their vehicles in time.
Currently, many vehicles park illegally on the section of Verseny utca near Keleti Pályaudvar. This obstructs the safe movement of pedestrians and cyclists, and blocks the line of sight for law-abiding drivers, creating a potential traffic hazard.
To establish an orderly and safe environment, our coworkers will paint road markings that clearly define legitimate parking spaces, while new traffic signs will indicate the applicable parking regulations. At the same time, signs reminding drivers of the parking fee zone will also be installed.
The maintenance work will be carried out in two separate phases on consecutive days:
- Phase 1: Monday, July 27, 2026
From the junction near Keleti Pályaudvar up to the traffic sign indicating the parking method opposite 10 Verseny utca (on the odd-numbered side).
- Phase 2: Tuesday, July 28, 2026
The entire section between the traffic sign opposite 10 Verseny utca and Gate No. 1 of the Magyar Posta (also on the odd-numbered side).
Parking striping works can only be carried out on completely empty, car-free asphalt. Information leaflets are being placed on the windscreens of the vehicles parked at the location. We highly appreciate your cooperation in keeping the designated sections clear during the scheduled hours. Any vehicles left behind that are parked illegally or obstruct the works will be relocated by the authorities.
Thank you for your understanding!
