From July 1, 2026, standard parking rates will increase across Budapest’s parking zones, including in our district. At the same time, parking fines (penalty fees) will also increase.
Despite the fee increase taking effect on July 1, the instalment amounts for annual residential parking permits will remain unchanged.
Under the municipal regulation, parking meters will be decommissioned and subsequently removed. Detailed information regarding the decommissioning process and the schedule of the works will be provided at a later date. Until the parking meters are taken out of service, parking fees may still be paid at the machines on a temporary basis. Drivers can also find information about the changes in hourly parking rates on the notices displayed on the parking meters.

The table below provides an overview of how hourly parking rates will change in each zone from July 1, 2026.

The changes in each parking zone are outlined below.
1. Zone “A”
In Zone “A”, the hourly rate will rise from HUF 600 to HUF 800. Parking fines will increase accordingly:
- Cars and standard vehicles:
- Paid within 15 calendar days: HUF 13,600
- Paid after 15 calendar days: HUF 32,800
- Heavy vehicles (over 3,500 kg):
- Paid within 15 calendar days: HUF 40,800
- Paid after 15 calendar days: HUF 98,400
- Vehicles with trailers:
- Paid within 15 calendar days: HUF 81,600
- Paid after 15 calendar days: HUF 196,800
2. Zone “B”
In Zone “B”, the current hourly rate of HUF 450 will increase to HUF 600.
- Cars and standard vehicles:
- Paid within 15 calendar days: HUF 9,000
- Paid after 15 calendar days: HUF 24,600
- Heavy vehicles (over 3,500 kg):
- Paid within 15 calendar days: HUF 27,000
- Paid after 15 calendar days: HUF 73,800
- Vehicles with trailers:
- Paid within 15 calendar days: HUF 54,000
- Paid after 15 calendar days: HUF 147,600
3. Zone “C”
In Zone “C”, the current rate of HUF 300 will change to HUF 400.
- Cars and standard vehicles:
- Paid within 15 calendar days: HUF 5,200
- Paid after 15 calendar days: HUF 16,400
- Heavy vehicles (over 3,500 kg):
- Paid within 15 calendar days: HUF 15,600
- Paid after 15 calendar days: HUF 49,200
- Vehicles with trailers:
- Paid within 15 calendar days: HUF 31,200
- Paid after 15 calendar days: HUF 98,400

Important Reminders From July 1st
- Start your parking right away: Mobile apps and parking meters will automatically charge the new, higher rates from the very start of the day on July 1.
- Check the zone boundaries: Several different parking zones meet within our district. Make sure to check which side of the street or which intersection you park after, as rates may differ.
