The Municipality of Józsefváros is creating new micromobility parking hubs in the Tisztviselőtelep and Századosnegyed to expand transportation options and keep public spaces more organized.
These hubs will provide designated parking areas for shared micromobility vehicles, such as rental e-scooters and bicycles, so they can be parked in clearly marked locations instead of being left on sidewalks or public spaces.
According to plans prepared on behalf of Józsefvárosi Gazdálkodási Központ Zrt., a total of 33 micromobility hubs may be created across the two area.
When selecting the locations, planners focused on making the hubs easy to access while ensuring they fit well with the existing traffic and parking layout. The plans were also coordinated with Budapest Public Roads (Budapest Közút) and the Budapest Transport Center (BKK).
Construction is expected to take place:
- in the Századosnegyed from March 16 to April 24, 2026
- in Tisztviselőtelep from April 27 to June 26, 2026

The designated areas will be marked with green pavement markings, symbols, and information signs.
In some locations, bike racks and protective barriers will also be installed to ensure organized parking while keeping the areas safe and accessible for pedestrians.
This project will help make the use of shared scooters and bicycles more organized while keeping public spaces in the district cleaner, safer, and easier to navigate.
